Growing herbs in Arizona

We have been trying to grow a kitchen garden for some time. We successfully grew a small kitchen garden last spring, however the bugs took over and ate more than we did not to mention the worries of the Arizona heat. We tried sprouting beans in our kitchen repeatedly with little success and we even tried a potted herb garden on the porch.We have finally succeeded!


I give you Canning Jar Terrariums...


I know...they are not very pretty. But, my son finally learned that if he leaves a seed alone long enough, it will sprout! Very exciting!
